Hi, I’m Chelsie

I am a full time professional photographer in the central West Virginia area. I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and have been featured in many different magazines such as West Virginia Weddings, House of Flynn and West Virginia Farm Bureau.

I was born in small town Buckhannon, West Virginia. I’m a lover of animals, the outdoors, music, memories and all things old! I have a pretty big family and we’re all super close. I’ve been obsessed with pictures for as long as I can remember. From disposable cameras and Myspace to my High School photography class and Instagram. No matter how much this crazy world progresses, we all still love to look back at old pictures. My journey as a photographer began when my brother started playing college basketball. I would take pictures of him from the bleachers almost every game. In the meantime, my best friend got married and had a baby, so I officially had a subject for my favorite pastime.

A couple years ago my grandfather passed away and we were left going through all of his old belongings. This led to me looking through old photo albums and letters. Although we all have a story that we are writing every day, I like to think that our stories are better captured through our personalities seen through pictures. A good picture is more than just an image; It’s a story. You can see someone’s happiness or feel the love just from one still frame, and that is my goal as a business owner and photographer; to capture stories. To capture moments in time that will never be forgotten. Something that is more than just a profile picture or a post with 100+ likes, but is something that will be handed down 75 years from now, to new generations who will cherish them as much as I did.

For years now, I have been living by the saying “Dreams don’t work unless you do.”.But you know what they say, if you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.
